 DJJ Vocational Services

Supporting Youth Through Empowerment
dreamstime_m_145992042 DJJ-3.jpg

The Choice Group is proud to partner with approved service providers to the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to provide best practice, community-based Vocational Services. The
Choice Group blends decades of experience supporting people with barriers in finding gainful employment and providing transition services to at-risk youth and students through our
Pre-Employment Transition Services. Services often include Community Support Services to develop specific life skills necessary to obtain and maintain employment.

Each youth is assigned their own Vocational Counselor and through job exploration counseling to identify interests and experiences, and a realistic vocational goal is developed. The youth works together with the Vocational Counselor to learn job seeking skills as they navigate the local labor market and ultimately find a job that is a good match for each individual youth we serve.

Job matching and placement are critical to each youth’s success, but our support does not stop there. The Choice Group’s Vocational Counselors are trained in requesting accommodations,
modifying jobs, training and educational support, behavioral support, and provision of on-site systematic instruction and job coaching. Long-term Follow Along services are also available
when more intensive supports are needed to maintain employment.

The Choice Group’s engaging and hands-on service model is an excellent fit for at risk youth that need engagement, clear expectations and tangible results.
